A renovated historic house that retains its traditional charm, with four bright rooms in the center of Vernazza, in the heart of the 5 Terre. Three rooms are located in the same building at Via del Santo No. 37, while the fourth is in a separate structure a short distance from the main building at Via Roma No. 57. The rooms are all within walking distance of the sea, train station, and major points of interest. The rooms are all equipped with private bathrooms.
The ancient village of Vernazza is the fourth of the 5 Terre. Built following a spur of rock that juts out into the sea, it was founded around the year one thousand and takes its name from "Gens Vulnetia," an ancient Roman family to which the slaves who, once freed, founded the village belonged.
Vernazza is composed of the tall yellow and pink tower houses in typical Ligurian style that weave into narrow carugi, the small, steep streets that run through it from the sea to the Doria Castle. The town unveils its former prosperity compared to the other villages
sÃmbol of the economic importance it had in ancient times and protected by the Genoese against the Saracens and barbarian invasions.
Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso.
Kilometers of dry stone walls framing a crystal clear sea: these are the elements that characterize the landscape of the Cinque Terre, one of the most unspoiled natural Mediterranean areas of Liguria and the Tyrrhenian coast.
Five miles of rocky coastline enclosed by two headlands, five villages perched on stone spurs in tiny inlets. Rising all in Roman times, because of their history but especially because of their location, the five villages have not undergone much expansion and still retain the charm of the small Ligurian village among colorful carugi and the gozzi in the middle of the road.
